No reported problems at Benham Valence, lots of leaves in the car parks but no major access problems, car park and driveways clear. Please check your local conditions and advise your line manager if there are any chnages to your working day.

Power is now fully restored at BV so please attend site as normal tomorrow. Security and access will be handled by site staff from 6am. I will send a separate email to support staff in case they need to attend out of hours.
Site staff would like to thank all for their patience today - and thank you to all staff for the flexibility shown today. Unless there are any important changes there will not be a blog posted at 6.30am on Wed 3rd April 2013.

Update re Power

Latest situation at Benham, the advice from the electricity board is the fault is expected to be fixed between 6 - 7pm tonight (Tues). Two floors are running normally from our generator and staff who can work from home from Block 6 please continue to do so.
The blog site will be updated at 9pm tonight to confirm the situation, should power still not be restored at this time a post will be made at 6.30am tomorrow Wed 3rd April to advise. Please check the site for this information, thank you.

Some snow in Newbury yesterday evening and last night - report from James at 7-10am, driveway and car parks clear - access to site not a problem and areas have been ploughed and gritted.

Light snow in the Newbury area until mid-afternoon Sunday, Jane and James confirm the driveway to BV is clear and were busy clearing the car parks this afternoon. From the latest reports no significant snow is expected in the area overnight but please check your local weather conditions and inform your line manager if conditions prevent you from travelling. Access to BV is expected to be clear but proceed down the drive and into carparks with caution, there was plenty of the white stuff on Friday afternoon! If conditions change significantly on Monday morning a further post will be made or early attendees to site will post to advise of conditions.

Snow continuing to fall at BV, Jane and James confirmed on site all day and will help everyone if they get stuck. Main driveway clear and lower car park has a good covering of snow but will continue to be ploughed and gritted. A4 reported okay going towards Hungerford albeit very slow.

Friday 18th January - Snow

Arrived at 08:00 - It's snowing - BV drive and carparks have a light covering but are currently OK to pass - James was out gritting the drive but I would suggest using lower car park.  I came in from Abingdon via A34 - Generally OK up to Ilsley then the outside lane starts to get a covering but it looks like the grit is struggling to cope and will probably get much worse - A4 section off the A34 to BV was fine.

Update Monday 14th Jan 2013 - 9am
BV driveway and car parks all clear, Jane and James on site today to monitor any further snow fall and will keep access clear. A4 and all main routes clear.

Light snow showers expected Monday 14th Jan 2013 - please watch this blog for any updates. Benham Valence site staff will grit and ensure the main driveway and car parks are clear. A report on site will be posted by the early attendees to site on Monday if there is any cause for concern.
